GIANT FOOD STORES UNVEILS CHOICE REWARDS PROGRAM TO LANCASTER COUNTY Customers can choose what type of saving is best for them

Carlisle, PA – GIANT Food Stores is giving its Lancaster County customers another way to save. Beginning Thursday, Sept. 17, customers who earn rewards points just by shopping at any GIANT can now choose what type of saving is best for them – Gas Extra Rewards or 5% off groceries.

When using a GIANT Bonuscard customers earn rewards points and accumulate them every time they shop.

Here’s how out it works. For every dollar you spend you receive one point.

  • For every $100 you spend, you receive 100 points; 100 points can be redeemed for 10 cents off gas.
  • For every $200 you spend, you receive 200 points; 200 points can be redeemed for 20 cents on gas.
  • For every $300 you spend, you receive 300 points; 300 points can be redeemed for 30 cents of gas or 5% off of your next grocery purchase.

There is no limit to the number of rewards a household can earn.

Rewards earned in one month must be redeemed by the end of the following month, for example, any points earned in September need to be redeemed by Oct. 31. Reward points are tracked at the bottom of the GIANT receipt.

“As part of GIANT’s commitment to offering quality, selection and savings every day, we are always looking for ways to pass along even more savings to our customers,” said Tom Lenkevich, president, GIANT Food Stores. “In addition to already-low prices, we are now giving our Lancaster customers the opportunity to personalize their savings experience by choosing how they use their rewards points.”

Customers can redeem Gas Extra Rewards at GIANT’s Lancaster County fuel stations located at 300 Centerville Rd., Lancaster, 850 East Main St., Ephrata, 789 East Main St., Mount Joy and 1278 S. Market St., Elizabethtown.
