GIANT & MARTIN’S CUSTOMERS RAISE MORE THAN $550,000 FOR LOCAL CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK HOSPITALS
Carlisle, PA – Customers at GIANT Food Stores and MARTIN’S Food Markets generously supported the grocers’ annual in-store balloon campaign for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals raising $558,361. From June 22 through July 5, customers could purchase a CMN paper balloon at any GIANT/MARTIN’S checkout for a $1 donation.
“As part of our commitment to living and giving in the communities that we serve, GIANT/MARTIN’S is proud to support CMN Hospitals and all the children who are fighting for good health,” said Tom Lenkevich, president. “Thank you to all of our customers and associates who donated to CMN Hospitals during our most recent campaign.”
For the past 18 years, GIANT/MARTIN’S has raised more than $34 million for CMN Hospitals throughout its market area. GIANT/MARTIN’S conducts balloon and candle paper icon in-store campaigns annually. In addition associates also regularly volunteer at CMN Hospital events, including radio and television telethons.

Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, The Janet Weis Children’s Hospital at Geisinger, Children’s National Medical Center, University of Virginia Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh Children's Hospital, Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, and Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU.
