MARTIN’S FOOD MARKETS AND ITS CUSTOMERS DONATE MORE THAN $90,000 THROUGH SHARE A HOLIDAY MEAL
Richmond, VA – MARTIN’S Food Markets customers and associates helped brighten the holiday season for Richmond and Williamsburg families in need by donating $94,746 through this year’s Share a Holiday Meal. The donation supports Christmas Mother campaigns in Chesterfield/Colonial Heights, Hanover and Henrico, Salvation Army Central Virginia Command and Salvation Army of Williamsburg.
“Thank you to our customers and associates for your overwhelming generosity in assisting families in need throughout our community,” said Jim Scanlon, regional vice president. “Since MARTIN’S started participating in the Share a Holiday Meal campaign four years ago, more than $370,000 has been donated.”
From November 3 through December 14, MARTIN’S customers had the opportunity to support the Share a Holiday Meal program by making a donation in increments of $2, $5 or $10 at the checkout.
The funds raised will be donated to:
- Chesterfield/Colonial Heights Christmas Mother - $28,103
- Hanover Christmas Mother - $12,418
- Henrico Christmas Mother - $24,594
- Salvation Army Central Virginia Command - $26,000
- Salvation Army of Williamsburg - $3,631
