Weekly Tip

Fuel Up for Spring Activity

Once the warm weather hits, it’s hard to resist heading outside, so why not try to fit in some exercise? The ideal amount for most people is 30 minutes of moderate activity per day.

Keep energy levels high on an active day with snacks that feature a good balance of complex carbohydrates and protein. Try an apple with peanut butter, whole wheat crackers with low-fat cheese or a serving of yogurt with slivered almonds.

Most importantly, make sure that you’re well hydrated when you begin exercising. If you feel thirsty, you’re already well on your way to being dehydrated. Good fuel and plenty of water will keep you on-the-move and feeling great during the sunny days of spring!
